PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Definitions

Personal information: any information that directly or indirectly identifies a natural person.

Storage: secure storage of personal information for as long as required.

Destruction: permanent deletion, elimination, or erasure of personal information.

De-indexing personal information: removing information from search engines, making it less visible, but still directly accessible.

  • Personal information is kept strictly confidential.
  • Personal information is used only for the purposes for which it was collected. 
  • Personal information will be destroyed, de-identified or made anonymous when it is no longer required for the identified purposes or when it is no longer required by law.

INFORMATION GATHERING

At Coval, we collect the data necessary to provide our services and advice, as well as all the information required to complete a full transaction, i.e., an order, through delivery and ending with an invoice.

What personal information do we collect?

This may include first name, last name, postal address, billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, language preference, year of birth, number of sales, dollars spent, product purchased or other. In addition, in the context of web browsing, they may include demographic data, geographical data, pages consulted, time spent consulting content, user origin or other.

How do we collect some of your information and why?

There are certain services you may be able to take advantage of, or you may want to put in requests that will require us to collect some of your personal information. Here are a few examples:

  • To order a product on our website or on one of our partners’ platforms.
  • To enter a contest or promotion or receive a prize or coupon.
  • When you request information about our products and services.
  • If you wish to have access to certain advanced resources (white papers, special reports, etc.).
  • When you subscribe to our newsletter to receive information from us.

  • Use of anonymous navigation data collection technologies such as Google Analytics.

BROWSER COOKIES

When you browse the Coval website, by default we do not collect any information except that which is “necessary” to operate the website. For all other information, i.e., “Analytical,” “Advertising” or “Unclassified,” you must expressly give your consent, either by clicking on “Accept all” or by customizing your choices using our “CookieYes” consent management application.

Please note that some of our partners, applications, or systems with which we work are located outside Quebec. It is therefore possible that some of your information may be disclosed outside Quebec.

You unconditionally agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) and all applicable laws by accessing or browsing this website. When creating or confirming your customer account, you will be asked to confirm accepting the Terms of Use then in effect. If you do not agree with the Terms of Use, please do not visit the website.

Coval reserves the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to modify, add, or remove any part of these Terms of Use. It is your responsibility to regularly review the Terms of Use available on the website, and any changes thereto. Using the website is at your sole risk and Coval makes no warranty, express or implied, that (i) the website will meet your requirements or that using the website will generate revenue or profits; (ii) access to the website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; and (iii) the results that may be obtained from using the website will be accurate or reliable. 

In no event shall Coval be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if Coval has been informed of the possibility of such damages.
