We are excited to introduce Pacific Energy’s latest innovation: Advanced Combustion Management System (ACMS) technology that they have incorporated into their new generation of LE2 stoves. ACMS is a technology exclusive to Pacific Energy that meets high performance and environmental requirements without the need for catalysts. It is a leading technology in the evolution of wood stoves and is available today in LE2 units. Let’s find out how it works.

What is the ACMS technology?

ACMS technology is an electronic control system designed to optimize combustion without requiring user intervention. Indeed, one of the factors that contributes to additional production of emissions in the air is unfortunately the user who forgets to adjust the air lever once the fire is well started. In the case of Pacific Energy’s LE2 stoves, thanks to a single lever, it is now easier than ever to control the desired temperature of your traditional wood stove.

Indeed, the new generation of LE2 stoves (Vista, Vista Classic, Neo 1.6, Alderlea T4 and Alderlea T4 Classic) is still what you know and love, but in a smarter version. Light it, indicate the desired heat and let the ACMS automatically adjust the amount of air needed for optimal and clean combustion.

You are probably wondering how this is possible. In fact, ACMS technology uses sensors integrated into the stove to continuously monitor the temperature and the combustion levels. When the user adjusts the heat control lever to the desired position, the electronic system analyzes the sensor data to determine the optimal amount of air to provide. It then automatically adjusts the air dampers to maintain efficient combustion while minimizing heat loss. With ACMS, Pacific Energy stoves enter a new era, now incorporating intelligent electronic systems that work for you.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE ACMS?

  • Improved Performance: Efficiency exceeding 75%, ensuring fuel savings.
  • Extended Burn Time: 1-2 hours of additional combustion, for greater comfort and less reloading.
  • Reduced Emissions: At only 1.6 g/h, offers a more environmentally friendly alternative.
  • Simplified Start-Up: Allows for easier lighting and reloading.
  • No catalyst: Eliminates the need to replace this costly part that wears out over time.
  • Low Voltage Backup Battery: An option will soon be available for a battery that is rechargeable by the heat of the stove to allow the use of ACMS, even without electricity.
